It looks like the Swarm frigate emits unused spores at the end of each turn. This does not happen if the spore
was used

I believe he is referring to the Pyreflies that are summoned by the ship,I did some tests and really if the player does not activate the summoning skill at the end of the turn it is activated automatically, similar to the old problem of AoS ore carts.
Re: Insectoid swarm frigate emits spores at end of turn
Why is it a problem? It has no cooldown so why not summon every turn?

As for that, I also don't see a problem precisely because, as you said, they don't need time to be invoked, I think it's just one more detail.
Edit 1: Actually thinking about it now, there are some situations where this can be a nuisance, for example, if you are playing against the reptilians and the enemy has the converter, then if it is automatically summoned the enemy can use the converter and try to convert it and if he succeeds he can use it to attack one of your ships without it being something you could predict since it was automatic and you didn't want to summon it because the opponent could try to use it, another case would be an area attack where the opponent can use it to target adjacent units.

Niche case, you can just hold ground then. Otherwise if you forget to use the summon youd rather have it happen automatically. Also converting those is so low value.

You're right about that, they really are units of relatively low value but they have their uses, in his case these occasions don't do much damage to the player but they are things that can influence, it's something very occasional or if the player ends up forgetting to use the ship.

As I said then you can click the button that skips the unit action
