1. Question:
Can we change current counter attack mechanic so unit retaliates only x times (where x is amount of that unit's actions) per all turns except its own unless it has some spec unit actions for extra retaliation attack?
This will help us to balance tough units by allowing them to retaliate x times in melee (which you must endure) and than you can attack it without retaliation.
It is fine if it will be an option that is used upon launching the game or even as a spec unit action as well.
2. Another question is can you add counter attack mechanic for ranged units via spec unit action so unit with it will counter onto ranged attack of enemy?
X times if option from question 1 is added.
Needed to represent ability of melee units with high reach range to counter attack in their attack range as well.
Maybe some shooters also will be able to counter attack to enemy attack within their attack range.
3. Can you allow for retaliation attacks to deal aoe damage same as normal attacks? Maybe as an turnable on/off option for launching.
4. Not directly related to counter attack but...
I wantto change miss chance mechanic to be absolute and not related to the speed of attacked unit. At least if speed is 3 or less.
So formula for miss chance will be like (base miss chance for this example we will take as 10%):
If speed is ≤3 than it uses base value — 10%;
If speed is ≥4 than it uses similar to current formula — miss chance * (1+(speed - 3)/2). For unit with speed 5 it will result in — 10%*(1+(5-3)/2)=10%*2=20%
It will result in more balanced miss chance mechanic since we can increase base miss chance and it will be same for all units with speed 0/1/2/3 and it will be less affected by speed as it is right now.
