The biggest piston-engined plane ever built, it's beautiful, it has 6 piston engines and 4 turbojets. It entered service in 1948 and was replaced in 1955 by the B-52. They were researching into attaching a small jet to the plane to protect it regardless of the distance from the air base, as the B-36 was big so they tested it with it. The result: well that's 70 years old and today you don't have bomber-coupled jet fighters.
