I was thinking about visibility.
From what I remember there is a way to make something stealthy and not destroyed on step.
Boom was visible only on very close distance (and because of boom towers), as it was slightly under the water level.

sure there are severa option, like mines and submarines work in AOWFrom what I remember there is a way to make something stealthy and not destroyed on step.

Cataphract as new unit
I supose everybody knows about cataphracts. Anyway, i think this should be a new unit. The trouble i find is that cataphracts are from anient age and medieval age too.
Good against infantry, this unit should have this stats:
Cost 5-6
Attack 12-15
Range 1
Armor 3-4/3-5
Spees 4
Sight 7
CR 40%
SR 50%
With trample damage
Bonus against foot meele and ranged units

This is already implemented but under the name "Cavalier" heavy knight upgrades to Cavalier.
