The corpse also regenerates
Perhaps the regenerator will take increased damage against fire and stop regenerating.

Also, if you give him vampirism and devouring corpses and give him the maximum proposed characteristics, then you can make him a 10-way unique unit in a mega building.

Quite a change in concept since the original suggestion was a healer (which myconids could use probably).
We could use a big mega building only unit to make in them after reserching the techs (like the ICBM launchers, centipede mechs and striders for other races), maybe not 10 cost though.

I know that's how trolls work in aof, but does the fire stop regeneration just because it does damage that the regeneration heals, or does it disable the regeneration and then do it's damage? If its the latter I dont really know how to mod that.Perhaps the regenerator will take increased damage against fire and stop regenerating.

Hmm, don't trolls in AoF stop their regeneration when set on fire? I haven't tested it but I always thought it was. If this is not the case, then I just think that the damage from the fire was higher than the regeneration.

I remembered how fire vs trolls works in aof, the fire effect has bonus damage against trolls.
