Re: Provide gridline and named town in game map
It is impossible to rename towns or any other things on random maps.
Since right now renaming is possible only via triggers and thus only on skirmisher maps.
Also this also means that it is left to map creator only.

Re: Provide gridline and named town in game map
Well for such maps you can manually rename via triggers only each town center you place on the map as map creator (So this variant is still up on map creator).
Alas it requires quite a good amount of time and you still can't rename tcs during game itself. Also such maps have purely preset conditions like:
-Amount of players;
-Starting positions;
-Alliances (you can't even change alliances on these maps);
-Sometimes even races;
Since it is skirmish type map.
For allowing to rename tcs or any other object during game itself will require coding from strarego.

Re: Provide gridline and named town in game map
It is worth to put name on the town as a symbolic purpose been conquered and good for a story telling . Like Warhammer fantasy or real life battlefield it is named by a nearby town . Hence create content for After Action Report (AAR) like white wolf magazine or history book written. We are playing a fantasy wargame create a history to back it up.makazuwr32 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 9:54 am Well for such maps you can manually rename via triggers only each town center you place on the map as map creator (So this variant is still up on map creator).
