also here it is so maybe others also see how it goes:
- mg unit file: here is the US machinegunner file attached.
- available categories: consts file that contains the currently available categories you can use for bonuses and for "trnValidTargets".
- valid targets: for valid targets use this line (from us infantry that was earlier used as a template (read more here ) reference, but now it needs its own) valid targets setting, than you can modify targets here (as you need to let it shoot some planes too):
"trnValidTargets":{ "categories":["U_GROUND_UNITS", "U_BUILDINGS", "U_SHIPS"]},
- Editor: Use eg. the Free Textpad on PC to edit file (eg. dont use Microsoft Word or any other complex document editor), on Mobile you can use Total Commander to edit files.
- logical operators: here you can read about how to set categories with boolean expressions if needed: https://www.ageofstrategy.net/viewtopic ... 216&t=7503

There were actually 3 to be changed, forgot to mention the Italian MG
1. Japanese Heavy machine gun ---> Type 99
2. French MG ----> FM 24/29
3. Italian MG ---> Breda 30

The unit graphic design should also change I am not sure that sprite was well-understood.... Because there is already a fm 24/29 in the smg reskin drawing

I think he talking about the overhaul of the unit design of the aoww infantry which I have been suggesting (with his help in French units)

i see, those are awesome but there was an open thing there about their cloth/uniform colors
