@Stratego (dev)
Yes it is easier right now to target than before but right now i see several issues with this:
1. Fireball targeting in some cases fully covers unit and it is hard to see what is behind.
Possible solution — making targeting aoe abilities semi transparent.
2. In many cases i can't use this ability to its full power as before. For example when target is just a bit outside of ability range (but within aoe of ability) or when i want to target multiple units like below but best target place is empty.
Here is example:
As you see i can't target empty place and thus can't damage all skeleton shielders there. At least 4 of them for sure will be untouched.
Possible solution for point 2:
Make aoe abilities to target in place of units ground tiles.
Best solution for both points:
Make aoe abilities during targeting semi transparent (50%) and make them targeting ground tiles in place of units.

Re: New fireball targeting issues
problem2:
this is not new.
When we made them non draggable we knew (i knew) it will be like this.
until there is no a new draggable option it will nto change.
only in Unity version it is possible i will make a new better draggable thingie.
so this is not an issue but a new feature request
problem1:
"making targeting aoe abilities semi transparent." can be, but i suggest a smaller sprite instead, please ask savra to change.

Re: New fireball targeting issues
no that is a DONT USE feature, as it is too cumbersome - and also it starts scrolling the map under the green floater and - so it is bad as hell.
if i see anywhere set i will remove from code - maybe i better remove it now

Re: New fireball targeting issues
it is awful, i was raging when i had to use it on a longer ranged unit and i kow many users too - i read a few comments about shitty controls - and they were right - they still right...
in 1-2 tile range it is fairly ok (eg. on summons now) but on eg. a fireball in 6-8 range - awful, shitty, crap

Re: New fireball targeting issues
That is why i am suggesting to put for aoe spells as "targetable" not units but tiles.
If you can target tiles than it would be better since tiles always there, no matter about units.
