Improvised Armor
In the second world war, some tank crews opted to add extra armor onto their tanks, usually in the form of logs, sandbags, extra tracks, or even concrete. While they provided extra protection, especially against shaped charge projectiles like the Panzerfaust, they also hindered speed. For this reason, some generals forbade troops from doing this. In this game, it will be a tech that adds +1 armor and 4+ health, but the tank Will lose 1 speed. If it makes more sense to have it be a power up, like the clone or regenerate spell, I'm fine with it.

Re: Improvised Armor
Basically anything, but in World War Two, it was mostly on the Sherman, T-34, Panzer4, Panther, and I have seen it on the Tigers too.

Re: Improvised Armor
The tanks wouldn't look any different, although tanks with improvised armor could be a neat skin.
