M10 Tank destroyer IMPLEMENTED
M10 Tank destroyer IMPLEMENTED
One of the most sucessful Tank destroyers of the WW2, combining a light slopped armor with the very reliable Sherman transmission to make it reach where it was needed. Proven its value even when better tanks had entered on the field. Staying in combat untill the very end of the war...
Came in 2 versions for Americans. One in for the early part of the war and second for the late part... And 2 for the British. (Note that they had equiped the same 17-pdr AT gun from firefly on later versions aswell)

Re: M10 Tank destroyer
All right, when i mean "Later", I mean it is an upgraded version or a retrofit of an unit... The first is how it was firstly seen in the field or on the paper... It isn't related to the service/combat period.
Btw here are overall links for it.
For M10
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M10_tank_destroyer
The first prototypes of m10 were designed as T35 and T35A1
One for M4A2 chassis and the other for M4A3... It firstly had the 3-inch M5 AT gun on the prototypes and later it got the 3-inch M7 for mass production, it also had plans to retrofit it with the same 76mm M1 AT gun of Hellcat, to make it equivalent of 17-pdr Achilles, but the production efforth of M10 was redirected to refit them as M36 with better armor and high caliber.
For Achilles variant, here is the link.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/17pdr_SP_Achilles
Achilles was received and used by the british with the standard 3-inch m7, then adapted with the more powerful 17-pdr AT gun.
So the standard is called 3in-sp M10 Mk 1 or 2
The later is called as 17-pdr M10

Re: M10 Tank destroyer
Kinda hard to use xls to calculate stuff when the main visible improvements where made on parts that it doesn't simulate, like the difference of improved penetration of weapons of same caliber, if it have muzzle breakers, smoothbore or rifled barrels, armor angles, or the difference to one suspension to an improved one... Or for any other internal modules to another... As mentioned b4 only if we manually made directly these minor changes... So the same apply here as for the late, receive these changes compared to early ones:
- It has a better gun of same caliber (with much improved penetration and effective range againt axis armors).
- A counterheight behind the turret to stabilize the extra punch on the gun.
- A better engine and suspension to allow it keep the same mobility of the base version even with this extra weight.
- No design changes on hull armor unless they where welded with scraps in the field.
Btw i think i should re-do the M10 img, firstly to lookalike suspensions to match the others, and... I actually forgot the muzzle breaker on the upgraded version gun that is a must...

good! than we can increase the bonuses, any specific suggestion?- It has a better gun of same caliber (with much improved penetration and effective range againt axis armors).
also good! this also increases attack power bonus imho- A counterheight behind the turret to stabilize the extra punch on the gun.
extra weight is extra hull, what is the early and late vesino weights?- A better engine and suspension to allow it keep the same mobility of the base version even with this extra weight.
than this is extra weight thing if apply- No design changes on hull armor unless they where welded with scraps in the field.

Re: M10 Tank destroyer
@DoomsdayDragonfire
until you answer i implemented this:
name: "M10 Wolverine" - > "M10 Wolverine improved"
weight: 29t -> 30t (resulting hp: 41 -> 43)
bonus non war units: +150% -> +200%
bonus tanks: +300% -> +350%

name: "M10 Wolverine" - > "M10 Wolverine improved"

bonus tanks: +300% -> +350%
Re: M10 Tank destroyer IMPLEMENTED
I think it is ok, btw for the improved Achilles, it should have the same attack power from Firefly as they both use the same main gun.
Here are the newer images.
