1. Destroying buildings?
2. Destroying towers?
3. Destroying castles?

We should remove these bonuses as well and leave these units with only flat damage and no bonuses. And that will be pretty bad for balance.

No, no, no and again NO.
New though walls will be better than removing/lowering bonuses to walls. Infantries will have same bonus to them and artillery will have higher bonus.

So basically we are at square one again. I think bonuses one production buildings is acceptable just not defensive structures.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

makazuwr32 wrote: Thu Jul 05, 2018 8:38 am The thing is that right now walls are absurdly easily destroyable with infantries.
Maybe if we either completely remove bonuses to walls from all infantries or add to walls more hp this unit will become useful as well as walls themself (both changes don't affect gates).
But right now both walls and this unit are nearly useless.
I prefer second variant – massively increasing normal walls only hp (not gates and palisades) or even just adding new though walls.
Hp must be 200-250 in base. Also siege weapons must have against it high bonus - castle-like one i think. And ofc they will take more turns to build, not 3 turns in base and 2 with ambidextria.
Agree.
Need better walls.
The current walls represent the average 3 meter high and 0.5 m wight walls. (should called graveyard walls)
Those start over 10 m hight and 3- m gross walls, used for Castles protection.
They cud garrison 1 unit and have massive Hp
of course costlier.

Also we discussed somewhere about blocking sigh for archers and defensive bonuses.
An other hard to solve question.

(I think only maceman tipe infantry (blunt weapons)should have bonus to buildings - to be somehow more realistic.
But this would ruin existing campaign and game mec.)

So just stick at making some better walls now.

i dont suggest dealing with this now - it needs some consideration if we put this in (seems too tricky) and walls complicate things as they are "auto arranged" to each other changing appearances.
