Change of infantry units
How about replacing the current infantry units with different ones (with different names and images, however similar to the ones in the game at the time)? Here are some suggestions:
Light infantry --> image: three soldiers holding rifles without helmets --> abilities: AP granade (Soviet infantry have molotovs instead) --> bonuses: +70% damage to other infantry
Assault infantry--> image: three soldiers, one of them holding a rifle and the other two holding sub machine guns --> abilities: AP and AT granades --> bonuses: +100% damage to other infantry, +30% damage to fortifications and buildings and +20% damage to vehicles
Motorized infantry --> image: a military truck, a soldier holding a rifle, another soldier holding a granade and one more soldier holding a submachine gun --> abilties: AP and AT granades --> bonuses: +120% damage to infantry, +50% damage to fortifications and buildings and +50% damage to vehicles
Armoured infantry --> image: an armoured vehicle, a soldier carrying a mortar, a soldier with a rifle and a soldier with a submachine gun --> abilities: AP and AT granades, mortar barrage (deals 10 damage to a selected enemy, has +50% damage to vehicles, +80% to infantry and +100% to structures) --> bonuses: +150% damage to infantry, +80% to fortifications and +70% to vehicles
These units would be available to every nation, but every nation would have some small differences in stats. The rest of the infantry units would be special and different for each nation.

Re: Change of infantry units
It will be more cool and realistic. Instead of having all these infantry units (im talking about the current ones in the game), why dont we scrap and use them to make some more realistic models.

Re: Change of infantry units
Maybe motorized infantry can be changed to motorcycle.
Also add Anti tank infantry. Armoured infantry shouldn't be using armoured vehicle. Armoured vehicle will be seperate unit.
Some countries also have unique infantries.

Re: Change of infantry units
I suggested this because infantry divisions in war dont use the same weapons. They use a variety of weapons, rifles, sub machine guns, machine guns, anti tabk weapons, vehicles etc.

Re: Change of infantry units
Light infantry and assault infantry is just name change and looks change of Rifleman and Smg squad. The Armoured and motorized is good. The armoured can replace mortar.

Re: Change of infantry units
Actually i have asked the very same question before we made the current versions. That time the current implementationwas preferred.
Re: Change of infantry units
The light infantry and assault infantry is already there. I like the armoured infantry idea. Mortar squad is underused. The motorized infantry is not needed.

Re: Change of infantry units
Light infantry can be infantry instead. Assault infantry name can stay. Does assault infantry still have 2 action like the smgs? Light infantry doesn't need bonus against other infantry. Armoured infantry is good. It can replace mortar to make it more not underused.
Re: Change of infantry units
I think assault infantry are a good choice, like shock troops.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
