Poison Horse Archer IMPLEMENTED
Stats like normal horse archer, the only differences: 5 turns of production, poison effect.

I think this would be cool as an upgrade for a unit. Maybe an upgrade for mongolian horse archers? Idk, just brainstorming. Cool idea though.
The day is coming when a single carrot, freshly observed, will set off a revolution.

If not upgrade for a unit, but new one, it could be a bit slower than normal horse archer. Well, all of you would be slower on horses when you have bottles with a deadly poison in a bag XD

I agree, in it being a little slower.

It could have reduced accuracy, maybe have a 10-15% chance of shooting itself? lol.
Like you said, pretty dangerous playing with sharp sticks, tipped in deadly poison, whilst galloping around

No no no no! If we start see it like you, even swordsman can kill himself by accident what about samurai with 10% chance for seppuku

I don't think there should really be any deduction on damage, speed, etc if this is going to be an upgrade for heavy horse archer.
If we make this a seperate unit, I guess a speed deduction would be the most reasonable thing to do, or we could just make no deduction and make it cost 5 turns... but that is bloody expensive for an archer.

Looks pretty cool. Why is the cost higher now? it doesn't look too much better than the horse archer. Is the speed 5?

Okay here is a solution!
Reduce range to 4, Just like the Mongolian horse archer to reduce its reliability.
Also reduce its attacking power just to make sure it doesn't get too unbalanced.

I think it should be the same stats as normal horse archer, with 4 cost.
REASON:
Normal horse archers can get an upgrade that makes them significantly more powerful than these guys, which would make posion horse archers still useful early game (or if you are not getting horse archer upgrade), but normal horse archers would still be just as viable for obvious reasons.

Mounted Poison Archer
A more mobile poison archer, similar to my fire archer idea. Same attack/effect as a poison archer; remaining stats same as horse archer.
