Re: Map design - TRIGGERS (eg. if the hero dies)
Can someone help me to make a trigger which places a block of 5x5 legionaries with a centurion in middle, surrounded by a horizontal file of heavy knights at upper side and a vertical line of spartans at the right side of the legionary block?
Just guide me i will do the rest

I tried recording one the way you suggested. The quality is AWFUL but maybe it'll do for the purpose.
Thanks!

lol that is for sure. Actually it would be better if the unitType selection for the trigger editor was like the unit production menus.
Thanks!

Hmmm possibly that is better. Best : it has only icons of units like in the tcs and structures

Re: Map design - TRIGGERS (eg. if the hero dies)
I can help you only with a guide, because I cant record on my phone (I have no root)
What I can think of is there is a trigger which creates units at react area or something called like that. Woth that you select the 5*5 are you want to place the legionaries by adding the top left and bottom right tile of the square in the area x,y in the trigger editor. To the number you write in 25, because thaz much legionaries will fill that area. Agter that make a deleteobj in area trigger where you add to delete the legionarie in the middle of the square. (You need to set both coords to the location of tjat legionarie.) Then you can add the centurion to that tile.
The placing of the other units can be done with the create units at react area trigger to. Just calculate out how much unit dills that area you are filling up.
Sorry for misspelling. It's hard to write with a lagging keyboard

Re: Map design - TRIGGERS (eg. if the hero dies)
Edit: first place the centurion and afterwards the legionaires caus
Those units dont ovrrwrite others. Then u dont hav to use the delete trigger.

Re: Map design - TRIGGERS (eg. if the hero dies)

Re: Map design - TRIGGERS (eg. if the hero dies)
And i feel that there should be a trigger for change obj. Conversion resistance for campaign heroes going up against enemy preists, b/c it would suck having to fight against the converted hero knowing full well that you will lose even IF you triumph.
Maybe even conversion range

Re: Map design - TRIGGERS (eg. if the hero dies)
What happens, i wonder, if two trigger deactivate triggers would be targeted at the same trigger, but be in differnt triggers themselves(not under same cond.)

you meanHardeep wrote:Also i noticed when using change obj hp it did not work at all, absolutely zero change
a) you still can not give negative values,
b) or despite you give value it will not change the unit hp on trigger execution?
if the "b", please put a showmessage on the trigger event, sou you can be sure it is executed, and tell me if still there is problem.

What do you mean by showmessage, just add a dialog effect that resides in the same trigger or what

showmessage: message toast or dialog.
Re: Map design - TRIGGERS (eg. if the hero dies)
Im sure the trigger was executed, because all the changes to actions and attack worked and they were situated with the obj change health trigger effect, the actions and attack changed but no hpDaniel (the dev) wrote:showmessage: message toast or dialog.

Re: Map design - TRIGGERS (eg. if the hero dies)
you have not answered to this: "you still can not give negative values?"
but i presume you can, but with no effect at the end.

Re: Map design - TRIGGERS (eg. if the hero dies)
I dont understand... i see the - symbol if thats what you mean. But do you mean it specifically for the obj change hp? Id imagine it'd do nothing since the increase(+) does nothing, do you want me to try?Daniel (the dev) wrote:you have not answered to this: "you still can not give negative values?"
