Bmp damage

From the in game chat :The bmp 1 has a power of 30, bmp 2 and three have 13 and two actions. But - this leads to the effect that bmp 1 is stronger against armoured vehicles, all three can kill at least one infantry per turn.

Shouldn't the newer models have more firepower?

The bmp 1 uses a low velocity 76mm HEAT-FS shell while the bmp 2 & 3 use a 30mm autocannon
