Water-strider IMPLEMENTED

Post by Midonik »

A mech reassembling a water strider spider, it can walk on water (shallow and deep) using the same principle as its biological cousin, thanks to the large distance between its legs and very light material use to make it. Its body holds deep water bombs that it can drop down to destroy submarines. It is also equipped with sensor able to spot them. On ground, it is very fragile, and cannot attack buildings since they are too large for water-striders to stand over them (well generally), so they are impractical, but their bombs can still deal good damage to both infantry and tanks (since tank armor is usually not as thick on the tower).
I think the image that @Typhoon made for it would work nicely.
The physics behind this are pretty bs but I think it's a orginal idea that fits insectoids so we can close an eye on that.

On this variation, I changed the color and the feet as the pointed-toed feet are unlikely to walk on the water.

I think it is clear on which variant we should pick.
