Bad joke. Still, high pierce armor will make up for the slow speed. And yeah, 50 or so life, it's still huge for elves.

I'd give it no armor at all but a dodge %

If you don't hit its core you deal no damage.

Mayby 5?
Anty-arrow naval unit will be really good aganist warships, becouse warships wont be able to deal damage it,byt it still be balanced becouse humans have destroyers and catapult ships. It will also be usefull on land, mostly in elf vs elf. Trample in water will make it usefull aganist water spam,so it might be good counter aganist merlocs.

This idea could work out,but dodge chance varies where the core is,is it in head,is it in legs,is it in torso?

I would say dodge is a great idea, especially for a semi-tanky elf unit, but it seems Daniel is trying to curb our use of it. Now, it is for elves, where I think the bulk of what dodge will be allowed belongs at least.

*Still sceptical*

Did you mean one hit kill(with high dodge chance)
OR
When you hit core full damage as unit that attacked(medium or low dodge chance)

Assuming dodge is allowed, try this
Cost 7, can be grown by workers for 14
Hp: 50
Armor: 0
Pierce armor: 0
Power: 10, trample
Range: 2
Speed 3, water only
Ranged dodge 30%
Immunity to fire, hp regeneration 5

Transforms to
Hp 50
Armor 2
Pierce armor 2
Power 15 (no trample, but hits flying for normal damage)
Range 2
Speed 3, water and land
Vanishing 5, asphyxiating (4 damage per turn, no time limit)
Transforms back

Yes, it can transform back if on land, but it is immobile. This actually makes sense though, as it could supply itself with water from underground at the cost of being rooted.

It doesn't seem something a worker might build.

Also i would still remove armor on land version (or it should loose dodge)

Actually none of the main races except undead are inherently magical. They are all biological, requiring nutrients, disposing waste, and reproduction to perpetuate the species. Ents may acquire nutrition from the ground and photosynthesis, and reproduce via airborne pollen, but they still don't require magic to survive. Currently, undead are the only ones that do need magic to live, though many creatures have a strong affinity for it.

This being said, this particular unit is a plant monster, forcibly grown at an accelerated pace, like the trees or vine bridges elves use.

Aravine born in underwater, Aravine cannot walk on lamd because their feet is porpose only in water surfaces, They cannnot walk on land because of their height, the height can be approximately 30 feet long, so they cannot go up on the land to walk. I agree on your idea that can dodge an arrows. Thanks to all

Ok. I think we'll make a different amphibious unit. Let's balance it as a sea unit.
