I think adding that can make the game more realistic.(the cross shape one)

I think it can also put in shallow water to disturb ships.

No,it can be seen.It is a structure like palisades.It use to disturb units so enemy units need to detour or break it to pass through.

Oh, so you mean that these would be the large "Caltrops" and the "Caltrops" suggestion would be for the small ones?

'large' one:can't pass through,visible,no hp minus when attack on it.can be destroyed.

'small' one:invisible,can pass through,step on it will minus hp

May be the 'large' one can be created on shallow water by workers and some ships.It is because there is no defence structure (like wall) in shallow water.
