Re: peasent
Normal unit but since its cheap maybe it neee to be researched like civilian teaining, for 11 turns
Re: peasant
This would be really good for campaign maps, definitely, but a bit pointless in multiplayer.
Civil Militia
A weak unit that weilds only a spear, costs one turn to build, and made in (not barracks).
Hp 5
attack 3
Range 1
armour 0
peirce armour 0
Speed 4
sight 5
Resistance 0
Any suggestions are welcome.

I found a good example at pouse.rapier.free.fr/tomes/tiles/DO/tiles-domonstorerstile.html under people, fourth one, link can be found under pre-forum ideas.

Re: Civil Militia
I like the concept. They would make good cannon fodder.
Anything is feasible with enough money and power.

They are very good though.
Is this a different idea than the peasant?

Re: Civil Militia
If you think about it this unit is actually op (assuming it can conquer TCS). At the cost of one light calvary (which is currently the best starting unit...for conquering tcs ) you can make three and conquer everything in your vicinity. Not to mention that it would render scouts obsollete. So it would either: have to cost 2 turns, not be able to conquer tcs or be slower.
Re: Civil Militia
You're right. I just noticed, that this speed is 4. The original peasant idea was not OP.
Thanks!

Re: Civil Militia
How about, costs 5 turns, but fills up the TC?
Re: Civil Militia
Honestly without its ability to conquer tc, scouts are better...since they can take two archer hits in the beggining and fill up a tc.......and frankly this unit is not necessary and unbalanceable.....take away its ability to capture TCS, make it more turns or lower its speed to 2 and it becomes a useless unit................
.my idea for it is for it to have
12 HP
3 speed
3 atk
2 pierce armor
5 sight
Cost 3 turns
Its work rate would be half that of a worker because now he has a shield on the other hand (that of the skirmisher), it would be able to get the infantry armor upgrades but not the sword mastery (it would still have its hammer), buildable in tcs, and pretty good bonus against all the units it can build, and knights would have a bonus against it.
Its a different unit from the original but I would honestly use this.

Re: Civil Militia
K, so I thought about it... I think this unit wouldn't be good for AoS, but if we did AoF with a 'Passion' effect on him, which boosted his overall stats for say, 1 or 2 turns it'd be good... anyway im posting on AoF page for further discussion...

Re: Civil Militia
I'd make a tech for recruiting militia called patriotism, and make the unit slightly better to catch up with upgraded units
I'd make the unit name "Patriot"

Re: Civil Militia
No, the Civil Militia is designed only to be a last resort-Type unit, and to die fairly easily.Alexander82 wrote:I'd make a tech for recruiting militia called patriotism, and make the unit slightly better to catch up with upgraded units

However naming it Villager instead may be good for the sake of simplicity.

Re: peasant
Summing up the thread:
cost - 1
hp - 5
attack - 4
sight - 5
range - 1
speed - 3
*maybe a build of 1?* Would that be cool (no construction capabilities)
no conversion or resistance or bonuses or anything like that.
Good?

Re: peasant
I like the unit and what you all have decided sounds good to me
and remember, wherever your at,there you are
Re: peasant
What about conversion chance 100% because they are not warriors so just go where they need to get more money etc.
