Corona virus

I just thought we could talk about the status around the world - as on this forum we are from all around the world - and i hope nobody feels being in danger to catch the virus.
I just wrote this to Alexander, and i thought to share the status in Budapest today:

Here in Budapest it has not gone that far yet, so no schools being closed and stuff, but we were offered to keep kids at home - we have yet decided tough.
My "wife" is more concerned about the thing, each morning hears to radio and tells me the frightening news for breakfast :)

we tried to stock up some (as i call) "apocalipse food" tough, like conserved-can foods, but guess what! the local store, "Lidl" we used to go, was totally looted! - so there were no any.
also they are out of hand-desifecting products.
(but not to panic everything else were available in store :))

Schools: why dont schools turn to "online streaming" classes?
Here no one talks about it - however i myself could set up an old phone for non stop recording or online streaming in the class, or better, at the teacher's home the teachers could use it.

In Poland, even tho there ain't that many infected, the schools got closed, we are gonna be getting lessons through the net. The situation in shops is the same actually. I'm living in the eastern part of the country, so it's far from the western border when it started and it's also less populated, tho I think there were some cases nearby. I'm not worried about my young and healthy self, but I'm living with my grandma in the same house so she is more endangered.

I was having the same idea yesterday, but I decided against it as it might be upsetting.

My father is reaching that old age, so I worry about him all the time. He works in Manhattan, New York, where the virus first appeared on the East coast. It has worked it's way to Fort Lee and now schools are shutting down in New Jersey. I never thought the corona virus would have such an impact to my normal living. My school wants us (the students) to continue our education online for 2 weeks. Maybe I'll have more time to figure out how to code a game on my download allergic chromebook.

I can handle flu related symptoms, so I'm not worried about my own health.

In Hong Kong, a lot of citizens realized that the Central Government covered the existence of the virus once the government lockdown Wuhan. Thus, they (including me) are furious on buying face masks ,hand sanitizers, alcoholic sprays around the world to protect themselves. Now the supply of hand sanitizers in Hong Kong are sufficient, but still have a shortage of face masks. A piece of disposable face mask that made in Japan were sold higher than $9 HKD. I think you better buy some face masks now because some countries already prohibit exportation.

Wear Face Mask! Wear Face Mask! Wear FACE MASK to protect yourself!!!

In England, National Health Service does nothing, just tells us to wash our hands :D

Most things are the same as before except school trips are not allowed. We are also told to self isolate for a week if we show symptoms.

here in the Philippines especially Luzon(the Northen part of the country) is currently quarantined, schools shut down, restaurants have removed their seats and tables and we can only order take outs and deliveries, and family gatherings aren't allowed for now

if this goes on our school suspension might be extended from April 14 to June 31
