Longbowmen IMPLEMENTED

After much discussion on the ranger topic in new ranged unit suggestions, there are a few of us that believe the longbowmen to be underpowered in comparison to the crossbowmen.

After a bit of historical research, I found that the longbows were designed by the English to have better range than French crossbows (and where the English insult "give the forks" came from) and should therefore have more range than a crossbow.

Not sure how to achieve this and am just putting this out there to open the debate.

Increase the range is the only thing I can think of. Maybe make them 7 so they can "out-range" a crossbow.

Well, 9 range is... a lot.

But I suppose that longbowmen could shoot very very far.
The day is coming when a single carrot, freshly observed, will set off a revolution.

Crossbow is only range 6, so making longbowmen 7 isn't too OP in my opinion.

Well, the 8 range xbow is already kind of OP, is what I was trying to say. :lol:

master archery 1+2. These uprades also apply to longbowmen.

I believe starting at 7 range sounds good putting them at the longest ranged archer after updates as mentioned )

Cost: 2/3/3
HP: 15/22/14
Attack: 6/6/6
Range: 6/5/6
Armour: 0/2/0
Pierce Armour: 0/1/0
Speed: 3/3/3
Sight: 8/7/7

Why not just give them
+1 pierce armour
+2/4 hp
Admire the flowering buds all you like...
However it's the thorns you need to be worried about
