Regarding blue dragons "flight" - ANSWERED
Regarding blue dragons "flight" - ANSWERED
Why is it that the blue dragon can't fly over mountains like other flyers? Right now it moves only over water and land at normal but when it comes to mountains it can't fly that high apparently.

Re: Regarding blue dragons "flight"
They're clearly given wings, there's even team color on them. As humans are supposed to be a bridge of all factions, I suggest their dragons get the ability to fly too.

They are counted as foot units (for dmg tipe too)
And if not flying tipe but passing rocky terrain should be in.
May humans get alternative dragons in future.

Or better... Fix the condition of the dragon. I would be a Little more playable.

It doesn't fly. It just swims. I think those are fins.

I never thought of it as water dragon. I suppose it can to make sense.

A water dragon with fire breath?
How about just say it has wings but can't do much cause of a mutation defect which is why it doesn't fit in with the other dragons

Re: Regarding blue dragons "flight"
Well in httyd there were completely different dragons.
Some can fly while others can't but instead can swim fast enough.
As for this one i always saw it as hovering a bit above the surface of water.
It can't fly high in the sky but it can hover above water surface. It can't also fly above obstacles.

It doesn't look like it has finns, I still say it should be able to fly over mountains, or at least get mountain walk 1.

Re: Regarding blue dragons "flight"
Well whatever the case, blue dragon was one of the starting units of AoF. For balance compared to other dragons, it was denied flight since it had the best damage output via breath weapon. Of course, this was also at a time when the elf dragon had vanishing 5 (yes, a strange time indeed back when eagles were the better choice because they were permanent) and nobody knew about waypoints controlling the orc dragon. I've never seen a problem with the lack of flight, but the image could probably use a touch up.

Nobody knew about the green dragon? My first move after noticing I couldn't move it by itself was to set a waypoint for it.

Re: Regarding blue dragons "flight"
I've figured something out that might explain this better, and would explain the zombie dragons flight.
Raptors and other big birds require heat currents to fly or powerful winds, which is why they live close to the sea shores, cliffs, mountains, the such. A dragon would act much the same way, and we could say that the blue dragon's wings were adapted to living near the seas. The zombie dragons wings could only handle the sea breeze. Other dragons could have wings that allow them to use the wind currents in the mountains to fly.
That's just about my only solution.
