I was wondering would it be possible to make unique vetraning like this:
Giant slayer:
If unit with giant slayer kills a giant then +1 to attack and armour (both)
Dragon slayer:
If unit with Dragon slayer kills a Dragon then +1 to attack and armour (both)
If so you could probably give it to certain giant and Dragon slayer units that specialize at this.

Everything is possible, virtually, but coding would be required, I guess

Re: Dragon slayer and giant slayer unique vetraning
Actually I've been thinking about suggesting a revision on veteraning anyway.
My suggestion is to remove the armor and hp buffs from veteraning, so it just raises power, and add an "experience" stat that starts at 0 and increases by 1 with every kill. Any unit with veteraning in the design will have a second effect: growth potential.
When such a unit reaches a certain level of experience, it transforms into another unit with higher hp and armor. For example, zurgo becomes an elite zurgo at experience 5, retaining the same power (plus veteran buffs) and growing in other stats. Elite zurgo then grows to master zurgo at experience 10, for the same buffs.
After reaching master zurgo, it can't grow hp or armor anymore, but power will continue to rise without limit.
This way, veteraning units can grow powerful, but not invincible. Armor growth caps off at a reasonable point and the unit still takes some damage.

That could be a another version of veteran.
Wise, Might, Loyalty. Forever stands Warfell.

Ummm theirs just one problem, vetraning doesn't raise the hp like it's supposed to, so only armour and power is effected....

And you land upon the very unit I seek to avoid. 2 actions, infinite armor, infinite power, self healing, and dodge. Think you can take it with an assassin? The rng hates you enough to make it miss and the monk punches your assassin in the face. +1 power, +1/1 armor. Only a mummy can stop it.makazuwr32 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 6:14 pm Reminds me how i got against scaledfolks my monk of dwarves with 100 kills...

If he was instead a monk initiate, then novice, then monk, then sensei, and finally a martial arts master (for a fairly long chain if you want that many) and each gave their own benefits without getting to 50/50 armor, it would be a unit that paid off careful nurturing but required care even when it became powerful.

And also because of dwarves and self strengthen it is even easier to level him because he gais +3 to damage and armor from the start.
Also current scaledfolk can just convert this monk if theh will get near dark dragon or gray dragon.
Magic also works fine - magic missle, fireballs, thunderstorms, etc...
