Might have found a problem, as well as this. So when trying to make it only affect infantry melee, it doesn't affect them at all, but I may have found a way around this by making a new modifier categories. Anyways, I don't think I'll be able to make the effect work on the higher tiers, so you would need to rethink that.

Can't you just create more auras?

He simply gain different auras with level up

You don't have a single effect but multiple effects

That will require more jsons but it is the eaayer way

Well yes, it would require a lot more work. But that hasn't solve not working categories issue.

It should be possible. When I've made the centurion for AoS there was a similar effect since he gives a certain bonus to all units and an extra bonus to roman units

It should be possible to set target categories into the effect json.

If you can start by creating these jsons I can figure out how to set the right categories
