hybridiser. we can work on the name - ANSWERED

This structure kind of combines two units into 1
Eg. Horse + swordsman = knight.
Horse + pikeman = lancer and so on( if i get an affirmative then i will try to find many other combos.
It will not produce any unit . Only shelter non combinable units(eg swordsman + pikesman) or combine them
Psst. I know you might be thinking from where to make a horse etc . For that i suggest another structure ' zoo' . if i get an affirmative then i will open a new topic for it also.
Any suggestions?

I don't really see the point in producing a unit by combining two units that you have to combine, especially if you can already make the same unit ready and steady.

The point is to create aknight in 2 turns ( swordsman, horse in 2 turns both in seperate structures. Faster basic production.) Maybe the elephant archer be produced in 4 turns(elephant-4)
If you want we can also make some new combos and heroes :twisted:

Yes, i got your point, but if i need to make a stable to produce mounts i loose the chance to build another factory and produce more units

okay. Maybe we can nake some new combos like a soldier fighting with a sword and a spear( a mercenary tavern type of conversion) I will think and tell you what actually i expect from this kind of hybridiser

The idea behind it was actually to utilise or upgrade units which are kind of useless at a particular point in the game ( you produced them in hoardes to counter a problem you were facing earlier which has now been solved but many units produced then have no use as of now)

Thats what i am suggesting - to make new combos also with this structure apart from reutilising the units. It can also mix two units with less health into one with greater health and +2 power

But it is not realistic that you can mix 2 humans to make 1 human. It fits more for fantasy

Why don't a training ground? You place there 2 units and they fight and become stronger. To avoid this to become op you obtain 2 units with half healt (that you can heal later)

Think of it as their weapons and armour are melted and made into new ones and given to one of them@ dark knight
I like your idea @ alex. We can do this: at the zoo we can make animals which can be used to either create hybrids or train soldiers( animals fight with the soldier) and then the soldier comes out either alive (with half health )or dead (50% probability)
Catch : only cavalry and infantry below 5 turns can be trained
Reward: after training the unit gets increase in max health(+10, +5)and attack power(+2,3) and also armour(+1,1)
(First number for infantry second one for cavalry)
The animal also loses some health but does not die .otherwise it would be useless to train a unit. We could make another one instead of the animal
Is this a reason good enough for making a zoo??

The idea is interesting, but a lot of the logistics sound like it would make things very complicated for AoS (like the addition of the horses that don't do anything but be trained for knights). I think it might change AoS a little too much.

But I agree with Darkknight that it sounds fantastic for the Fantasy version - making centaurs, fauns, minotaurs, and who knows what else.

But again the basic idea of compartmentalizing unit production to speed it (i.e. 2 turns in two tc instead of 4 in one) is cool. Maybe it could be more of another money courier type unit or tech.

Maybe we can simply make sth like a specialisation
That you can choose ONE unit type that is your special unit.
This unit will get an improvement of -1-2 production speed
+1-3attack...and so on... to change the specialisation ylit takes
5 turns.

To light cavalry or sth like that. Aslo the most units
I support caus i would use them in CAMPAIGNS not in normal game.

I dont think a zoo is a very good idea. I.would rather build another factory building unless the zoo can make more things than a horse.

A zoo can make all kinds of animals( horses elephants and may be even lions and wolves if dev permits) which can be used to train units. Like maybe the soldier fights with the lion and survives getting some bonus i mentioned earlier and the lion loses a quarter of its health

I think a zoo (with a different name) could be kind of cool. It could train gladiator like units and other war animals.

The name is always tentative buddy. You may always change it. (i named it a zoo because it was a slang for areas where ppl wrestled with animals for money.)

This seems over complicated, i love the concept, but the execution (programming) might be a bit too much. Perhaps daniel could pull it off though. "Better to assume too much than too little" the saying goes.
