Look in the FAQ
There are official posts covering map design
But you can also just follow this
Tap 'Docs settings and forum'
Tap 'map designer'
There never was much hope... just a fool's hope

I believe this requires personal permission from stratego.
I am able to create maps up to 60x60 but i have that permission.

I am not sure if stratego will give it to random unknown player though.

Why would you need such big map?
Even 40x40 maps can quickly become too boring, because of sheer amount of units.
And reaching population limit much quicker is not very fun.

I imagine bigger maps would only be needed by multiplayer map creators that design maps strictly for 6 players and focused on wide plains, bodies of water or something that crates play focused on movement prioritisation.

Please increase the map size

Post by DRYGI »

It's really inconvenient that the map size is still 50x50 at max. Please many of us would like at least 75x75, also i am quite bored playing 50x50 so please increase that.

Or just if someone know how to make maps bigger than 50x50 just let me know please :)

It is not an issue, rather intentional limitation.

Merged post to topic, that already referenced that.

Especially:

Limitation was made for a reason - I suspect, that because there were a lot of send maps, that were big, but not very good.
Bigger maps are much harder to review and it's stratego himself, who mostly reviews them.
So once someone is proven map creator permission would probably be given.

And honestly, like I noted before - even 40x40 maps can be boring, because of all those unnecessary movement, while too much TC density reaches population limit too quickly.
