Hope the stats aren't too crazy

Blacksmith + troop upgrades can make overpowered troops depending on stats

It would be like fighting dwarves. Except dwarves will end with +5/5 to their armour if glyph of protection is given. if not then that leaves dwarves starting soldier at 5/5 armour with +4 to his normal attack for a 2 turn unit.

May don't need 3 tiers cos they aren't regular units. (now considering storm sub too.)
Furthermore easier to adjust blacksmith for em.

Also I think the level names cud be different, being not part of core army.
Royal sounds weird.

1.stats are too hight.for hosptallers. For that should increase cost +1
2.Forget racial bonuses.
3.No exorcism for booth. Already are very similar


I want to ask you 3.things.

1.imho this names aren't really fantasy
What u think

2.Do we need mounted and foot for all?
4.units

Paladins are already foot "templars" (but that has for 6 cost area Heal and)

I wud make only 1 pair of foot and mounted.
And avoid unnecessary mass heal-combat units.
And for 5-6 cost 1 tipe of fighter seems enough cos if adding the rest may get better from booth combat and heal.
Pls consider this too.

3.switch tiers with group tipe upgrades for Attak /Heal and such for holy units.

Hosoitalers were agreed on being more support then combat, which is why they have lower stats then templar but higher heal rate, templar is more combat oriented so they have lower heal rate. Hospitaler only have bonus to skeletons, Templars have bonus to buildings, the cavalry are similar but faster much like the missionary.

Agree on the tier name change, name change in general though can remain.

Paladin is like a elite templar. With better stats and abilities but higher cost.

Exorcism is 1 range with these guys so it's only going to be useful fighting tough undead.

Hospitalers cost is as high as it could go based on how their stats are, they are more of combat healers.

So units upgrades were based on how the normal human soldier upgrades are which is how all human upgrades should work:

Infantry:
Hp+
Atk+

Cavalry:
Hp+
Atk+
Spd+
Sight+

Archers:
Hp+
Rng+
Atk+

Attack and armour are the 2 that get raised the most but I think it shield upgrade goes to cavalry as well then shields upgrade in general should only raise p.armour.

Otherwise humans basic cavalry end up with similar stats to imperials and imperials become fast Olog hai.

Not only that but, they cost A LOT more than normal soldiers and about as much as Imperials.

Why not have full 3?

We talked about this.
And agreed to change hospitaller roles.
To don't end up with a cheap templar replica.
No mounted form for em.
Still thinking about just 2 levels
Or one and group upgrades with Aourora techs.
Eg Archer and battle cleric.

Less isolated, still more usefull if they get they own infantry - what is still on hold
But this is the base so should be set as priority.

I'll post my suggestion about changes in this week.

Decided to give him one twist that makes him special. If that's not appropriate then we will go with either Exorcism of just a enchantment that gives bonus to undead or something.

Well, they all are from the church and they are supposed to be good versus undead. The Exorcism has a low range of 1 and heal has the same range. Holy units are supposed to be based on their healing, and holy spells. They are good versus undead and other arcane spell casters. They are stronger then normal soldier's but have higher cost and can only be trained in the church. If thats too much for the church then we can add the cathedral upgrade from AOS to this game and make them trainable through their.

No exorcism for archer.
(via sub research may unlock a skill)

As for upgrade lvl we (still calculating)
Will make only 1 lvl
(they get white fur for Base, and silver red for upgrades)
And will replace the hospitaller mounted

The names are still discussed.! (change for crusade historical reference - it's fantasy)


For images,it's odd to wear Cross we switch to a "neutral symbol" /nonfigurative stuff.

The ability of the archer was not exorcism, but sacred arrow. It requires research first and only is useful versus casters. It's a enchantment.

As for templar and the templar knight I thought of just giving them the elite enchantment instead and make it also researched. Both have cool:3 and cost 5 to research.

Templars are in fantasy games as well and so is the cross symbol but they usually just refer to them as holy units only. Crusaders are nothing more then Holy soldiers and were in there with the Templars but we're a mix of multiple nations. Templars were better then crusaders.

If those style is good ll convert the mounted ones too

May try diff hair colour though,(blonde?) for sure first without any helmet is the best at older version too.
