undead-bone golem - IMPLEMENTED

Post by balint »

Liches have this ability to raise the bones of long dead warriors and create a bone golem
it would work like a summoning
bone golem:
hp:20
power:7-10
armor: 0
vanish after 4 turns
if the lich which sumonned it dies, ot die too.
turns into corpse.
This is Hungary and winter is coming.

COOL IDEA!!! :-)
It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people wonder if you're a fool than to open it and remove all doubt...

here are the stats: hp: 20-25
armor:1
pierce armor:0
power:4-10 (lower parts)

after every summoning the spell for the lich has a 3-4 turn cooldown

I kinda picture this

I think that summoning a strong unit every turn right in the middle of the battlefield could become op, unless you give some limites (eg. a single golem for every lich, you need the corpse of a strong unit, you consume a friendly unit in the process and so on)

Btw you can do 2 kind

Bone golem and flesh golem
The first is more resistant to pierging damage and the second to normal damage

I like the idea of only 1 golem at a time, or maybe at least a long cool-down spell for it.

What you think of this image?

The arms are a blade made of bones (for melee attack) and a dragon skull (we might add a tech that makes him learn to use it to shot a fireball) and shoulder blades for melee too

we might make it less strong but with two actions (after all is the bone golem, the flesh golem might be stronger and slower)

I don't want to make the image too tall, that's why i want for a more "bent" leg position.
let's sww what Daniel think about it

About production:

Could it be possible to build them in the mansion (they are constructs, so they are "built" after all) and give the lich the ability to start their production on the field like the human workers building siege weapons or boats? Once the lich start the productions he and normal workers can start building them. In that case they shouldn't have fading effects

stats for bone golem:
Cost: 6
HP: 30
Attack: 8
Range: 1
Armor: 0
Pierce: 3 (it's made of bones so it's difficult to damage with piercing weapons)
Speed: 3
Sight: 4
Action: 2
Spell res: 0%
Skills:
Corpse Feeding: If he steps on a corpse (if not possible we might make it an action that affect a near corpse) he regain 10 hp
Dragon Arm Breath: Requires a tech. He can trow a fireball as a ranged attack (range 3) that deal 5 damage and a burning effect to the target and in a range of 1 around it, it should deal additional damage to buildings and wooden units (like ents or siege units)
stats for flesh golem:
Cost: 8
HP: 60
Attack: 24
Range: 1
Armor: 3
Pierce: 1
Speed: 3
Sight: 4
Action: 1
Spell res: 0
Skills:
Corpse Feeding: If he steps on a corpse (if not possible we might make it an action that affect a near corpse) he regain 10 hp
For the second skill i'd like to choose one of these:
Swimmer: he retain his movement speed when walking on water
Jumper: Instead of moving he can "jump" in a range of 2, moving over obstacles (like a single tile of mountains, a single tile of water and such

I was not convinced by its right arm, so i made it in a single Claw, what you think about it?

I also edited slightly the torso of the bone golem

i like the bone golem - good job!
only one suggestion to decrease the bone count because hard to see the siluette/contour of the body, eg: i could not see the right arm, also the legs seem thick - but maybe i am wrong i like it already!

A bone golem is different from a skeleton because he is a construct and it's not made following normal anatomy.

Regarding the leg we can make it as we please. Being made of just bones make a bit difficult to see every outline, but i might try boldening the lines or adding more shading.

What about the flesh golem?

Made the leg slimmer and increased the shading around the dragon head (also adjusted a bit around the neck)

I think that the golem should be a standalone unit and not a morph of the tower.
