Elf Subspecies - ANSWERED
Elf Subspecies - ANSWERED
Personally we I believe we should have subspecies in the Orcs and Elves.
Night Elves:
Have a great advantage in stealth@
Have superior magic.
Blood Elf:
Have great melee units
have a unique stealth if versing another Elf Army (Elf Vs Elf)

Re: Self Subspecies
I think we shouldn't put in copyrighted subspecies like those of warcraft. We can have our own tough

k, How about Mountains Elves, a subspecies that have the ability to climb mountains, and they also have superior Building skills.

Re: Elf Subspecies
But do you want them to be a different race or a subrace with new units for the elf race? (like uruks and goblins for orcs)

Re: Elf Subspecies
ya a subrace would be nice since, and considering that they are very similar.

Imperial Elves
have a boost in Armor and melee
Have the ability to tame wild creatures and have unique units.

Re: Elf Subspecies
What about some stereotypes like the wood elves (that are those in games), the high elves (those more versed in magic arts) and so on?
Elite elves unit should be trained in dedicated structures (like the uruk tent for orcs)

Re: Elf Subspecies
Your right, I was thinking of a unique unit only the Imperial Elves can create, Like a a Swordsman that is actually good and similar to a Orc with similar upgrades to it.

Re: Elf Subspecies
Yes i see, it should just be an elite unit. A more costly one, like the uruk archer for the orcs, it cost more and it can only be produced in a specific building

Re: Elf Subspecies
I don't like much the idea of an imperial elf xD
I mean, generally empires are mostly for humans.
I'd add high elves for magic and dark elves for fighting (even tough they are generally enemies of the elves)

I got the idea after checking out Social Empire's, a game I check out sometimes.

In my opinion Dark Elves have stealth and High Elves should have all around great ranged and melee units with incredible magic.

Re: Elf Subspecies
We should try to stay in line with the elf race. Elves aren't strong in melee and haven't a strong fleet.
A good melee elven units is one that is fast, not stronf but with multiple attack. It wouldn't make sense to make elven brutes or elven galeons. I think we should retain the concept. Like orcs are good in melee, undeads rely on their magic and humans on technology.
We can discuss on special races but they should add flavor to the game.
If elves need water creatures (like the sea serpent) we might consider making units like mermaids or such. Something like nature good demi-humans.
