Hmm yes i see, so if the road will be like a bridge with a plus 1 speed buff then you can cheat and build a road once every 4-5 tiles so you won't have to make a continuous road. I don't know about the abilities of people here because im quite new, so that's why i asked u about if its possible to code that because you're the developer after all and the topic says that enderu is the design leader that's quite different. There is a problem - either roads will be buildable, but kinda tricky (boosts only units standing on them no matter whre they go later - kinda like ground bridge with bonus speed) or percentage bonus movement on road terrain tiles. If it was all units - it's not that hard. Let all units enemy and ally have the ability to use it, after all it works like that in real life too. Also it would spice up battles if your attack failed and you're being pushed back on the very own road you build. It could spark some new interesting ide...

If this gets implemented i do understand that some maps with roads on it need to be re-edited but i can help with building new maps and re-edit the maps that are now in play.

I think it will make the game more interesting better looking and more tactical instead of just transporting your builder unit's as fast as possible to the front line to make structures. The Knights look good just one thing is wrong in my opinion it looks like he has huge balls and wearing a speedo.
Maybe darken the balls area a bit so it looks more like it's behind his legs?

Maybe give legionnaire the aura to make roman laborours have build/mend power?
Sound like a good idea if u have a spare legionnaire left, just put him near towers/military constructions that are being build and wait for your roman units to be ready to join the legionnaire.

So what do you guys think is it better now?
I have made him 2 bits higher because he looked like a dwarf.
Reshaped shield.
2 bits longer sword.
And all around shading.
The shield can use some shading work but i don't know how yet, this is the best i could.

Changed the color of the boots to a more neutral color. because if the teamcolor would be lets say blue he would have a red and white tabard with green boots and blue gloves and feather that wouldn't look good. It wont look good because of the bone wall the textures are too different if a wall is needed around the castle make it a classic steel fence no? Yes it will take time but maybe there is a 8bit fence image somewhere.

How about now? Ive lengthened the stick and thinned out the blade. Can't do anything more regarding length.
Also added a red cross in it's chest seemed too naked and the originals Sprite's had crosses on them too.

Edit: made some small changes on the unit
