I was making a map and then I came up with an interesting idea. Do not know how viable it is though. Special triggers could be implemented that unlocks campaign map based on the decisions you make in a map. The decisions would be put by the map artist. One more suggestion. In the triggers that you can define the unit type (like Change obj hp), we could add a faction filter in the unit list menu as it is truly boring to search the unit you want on the list.

Hello guys. I just fixed the problem. It seems that I had not changed the factions of the teams. Now it's all good to play. All tested by myself (previously I was naive and did not test the map at all). Ty for reporting the issues.

I think it's a very good idea to implement a new button in the map editor menu. This will copy a map changing the map key and recreating it. Also we could add Draconians as a sub faction in the Scaledfolk. They are humanoid dragons. We could move the dragons to this subfaction.
