I wouldnt want them to have too many easy time to upgrade, swordsman line need 12 turns to upgrade to man at arms, it will depend on how many turns the roman techs cost to determine how easy it should b to speed up hastati promotion

Also since the shadows r transparent pixels, it will look different when helicopter is for example on a grassy background compared to current white background so it still needs to b seen if these shadows actually make it look bad in game or not

That's better imho, i always prefer this little difference especially in stance, as that way it wont ruin the artstyle of the armor skin as well as keep better distinguishability

Btw does war canoe allow garrisoned unit to atk? Since they only carry primitive unit, acting like viking longboat, with carried unit attacking and getting attacked, also bonus of trireme and not boarding like viking ship, does worse than viking ship in that way

Just so u know it cannot b implemented as a unit because its just more expensive knight, knight itself is wearing armor, so 2 units being same but separate is contradicting, the upgrades of knight are considered to b advancing in age while the third upgrade, the cavalier is considered to be in the s...

The problem is with distinguishability, every time i see something that is similar to another unit i cant help but get triggered its where all the arguments stem from, some things look different to others but similar to me so its all subjective

Well, i guess a button to automatically turn off skins is fine, although i would prefer that new skins are recognisable on what unit they represent instead of having to turn off to default skin because i m confused by the image

And yet, giving the centurion a different horse skin wouldnt make that huge of a difference on the overall skins, his armor and weapon would still b historically accurate, just player looking at the unit would instantly say, brown horse, that means equites, white horse, that means centurion, got it ...

Samurai in history would wear flags as they didnt have ff00ff coded uniforms that would differentiate them from other clans, but its not a problem for us players of aos since we can use ff00ff color code to figure out which players own which samurai, its y no other strategy games i played involving ...
